How to know PF Balance ? No need to explain what is PF ? But in a nutshell, it can be said that PF balance is deducted from your salary each month.If you work in a private company or organization,that firm cut balance on behalf of you.This money can be withdrawn when you leave the company.Just apply for it with valid PF documents.

How To Check EPF Balance

  1. As soon as you receive PF number you can check it online following the simple process.EPF India is the official site for checking the all PF records/transactions/Settlement and any updates.
  2. Wen you land to member balance informationpage,you can find a simple drop down menu.Here this list shows all PF offices statewise.Select your stateaccording and wait for the below sectionlike :

  3. Select your EPFO office where your account is maintained to furnish PF account number.
  4. In next step you will be asked for Employee PF Account Number ,Name (as appears in EPF Slip) ,Mobile Number as registered with the account.
  5. Mark checkbox "I agree" and click on submit button.
  6. When you submit all above information,the details would be sent to your registered mobile number.Now check you SMS inbox to see the detailed overview.

What Is EPF ? As we discussed earlier Employee Provident Fund is nothing but the benefits after retirement.PF balances are secured & deducted from your salary.You can claim total PF amount at the time of leaving Job or company. - Whether the member is required to register or not for transfer claim ? Yes,member needs to be registered to file transfer claim online.Membership details can be found in official EPFO website i.e - http://www.epfindia.gov.in/ What are the pre-requisite conditions to file the Transfer Claim online? Following are the conditions that should be followed to file the Transfer Claim online: (a) Both present member and previous IDs (P.F. Account No.) should be available in EPFO database. (b) The employer should have registered the digital signature certificate of his authorized signatories with EPFO. What is the eligibility to file transfer claim ? You can check the eligibility criteria and at EPFO website or visit URL - http://memberclaims.epfoservices.in/ Why is member ID not available in EPFO database? There are possible reasons for member ID absence.These could following : (a) If  the employer does  not submit the return [Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR) or earlier returns prior to ECR] having the member ID. (b) The employer has submitted the return [Electronic Challan cum Return or earlier returns prior to ECR] having the member ID, but the same has not been updated on the portal. Due to late updating process, it could take time reflect on Member ID. Can Member edit the details that have been submitted ? No, a : member can't modify or edit that has been entered in EPFO database like father’s name, relationship, date of birth, date of joining, date of exit etc. What if previous employment details incorrect ? In this case, a member can click on edit button to modify the employment details.After that take print out and submit to concerned EPFO office through the previous employer.Only after rectifying by that office authority can make changes. What if the date of birth entry differ from EPFO database ? Online DOB submission let you enter 3 times.If you exceed the maximum entry quota your online application would be blocked ,You can't use online registration service. How to be sure that Employer as submitted modified data ?

When the employer submits edited data on behalf of the employee,it generates pdf log file.An employee can click on claim button to see whether changes have been made or not.In this case, contact the employer for wrong entry or same data issue.
